TP4056 is an integrated circuit (IC) designed to charge single-cell lithium-ion batteries.
  • Supply voltage (VCC): Range: 4V to 8V
  • Battery charging voltage: Typical: 4.2V
  • Charging current: Programmable in the range: 130mA to 1000mA
  • Adjustable via an external resistor (PROG)
  • Charging voltage precision: ±1.5%
  • Precision of charging current: ±10%
  • Over-discharge protection: Automatic cut-off of charging when the voltage reaches 4.2V
  • Charging mode: Constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV)
  • Thermal protection: The system has built-in thermal protection that reduces the charging current if the temperature exceeds 145°C
  • Battery detection: TP4056 automatically detects the presence of the battery and manages the charging process accordingly
  • LEDs: Two LEDs to indicate charging status: CHRG (charging) and STDBY (fully charged or no charge)
