The Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller is an advanced technique used in control systems to regulate the power supplied to electronic devices. It works by modulating the pulse width of the signal to control the average voltage or current supplied to the load.
PWM frequency This is the number of times a signal is turned on and off per second, expressed in Hertz (Hz). A higher frequency can be advantageous as it reduces the visibility of flicker in lighting applications and reduces noise in drive applications.
Thefill factor is the percentage of time that a signal is active (on) in one cycle period. The fill factor is expressed as a percentage from 0% to 100%, where 0% means the signal is always off and 100% means the signal is always on.
The controller changes the average value of the power supplied to the load by adjusting the fill factor. Modifying the fill factor affects the average value of the voltage and current supplied to the device, resulting in a corresponding adjustment of its operation.
APPLICATION :
Electric Motors:
precise speed and torque control of direct current (DC) motors. Examples include speed control of fans or drives in robotics.
LED lighting:
Smooth and efficient control of LED brightness, eliminating flickering effects and ensuring stable lighting.
Heaters:
Temperature control in heating systems by controlling the delivered power via PWM for precise and energy-efficient heating management.
Battery Power:
The PWM controller is used in battery chargers to regulate the charging current for optimal charging and extended battery life.
TECHNICAL DATA:
The product was placed on the market within the EU before December 13, 2024.
Swallowing Hazard – Small fastening components, such as screws, nuts, or washers, can pose a choking or swallowing hazard, especially for children. They should be stored in a place out of reach of children.
Spreading of Small Components – These components can pose a tripping or loss hazard during work. They should be stored in containers that prevent spillage.
