The CE-BP capacitor is an electrolytic bipolar capacitor, i.e. without polarity. It can work with both direct and alternating current, unlike ordinary electrolytic capacitors, which have a specific polarity.

The CE-BP capacitor in audio systems is mainly used in areas where the signal changes polarity, such as in loudspeaker crossovers, signal paths and filters. As a bipolar (non-polarised) capacitor, it eliminates the risk of phase or harmonic distortion that can occur in standard polarised electrolytic capacitors. As a result, it improves clarity and sound quality, especially at low frequencies, where ordinary capacitors can cause attenuation problems in audio signals.

In addition, bipolar capacitors are used in decoupling circuits to prevent DC transfer, which protects against damage and improves the quality of the reproduced signal.
